Hi there.I was wondering if anyone new a little more about the Easton and Amos\De Winton hydraulic pumping engines at Penrhyn. In the book `Gwynedd-Inheriting a revolution`the author says that although one was raised to the surface, pieces kept disapearing (presumably as scrap?) over the years. Also, one is suposed to still be there underground in one of the drainage adits.Anyone no any more about this?Or is there anymore photos around of these machines?
p.s.Anyone intrested in American slate quarries should check out Jo Jenkins ´Slate Roof Bible`.
