Did a few more searches but found nothing, not even a mention of this structure on Subbrit.
Nothing on any mapping I can gain access to either. Intriguing bit is whether it goes left/right to more galleries as it gets deeper under the hill.

If it went right I think it probably would lead underneath the ice house surface structure which the Air Ministry used as a mapping room. The national Trust have a display in there but I don't think all the surface structure is publicly accessible so there may be a link?

I did consider mailing National Trust for info but their site didn't look like they would be very helpful.
