Does this connect with the delightfully loose workings accessed from the end of the muddy crawl, being a higher level of the same? I found the connection from the muddy crawl on my first ever caving trip, wearing my woolly hat and pushing my bicycle lamp in front of me, only, many years later to see a survey showing a dead end there. My next slide through came decades after the first, on a pdmhs trip. I have the impression that the connection is not well known.

We we're hoping it would connect in some way as even from the entrance with a powerfull lamp the passage above the climb looks like it could go,and at a similar level to the connection into the choss fest beyond.
I checked the pdmhs survey and it shows a forfeild after 7m ,however there are a lot of loose deads up there and i wonder if its just a blockage. The climb looks quite awkward and as there is no evindence of bolts i wonderd if a scaleing pole and ladder were used for the initial exploration? We intend to climb and fully explore the stopes above the intial climb, and the connection to side mine a little futher in which i have ventured into before but not fully explored.

I reckon you are correct regarding the connection, not many folks know about it at all.i have spoken to,what i would regard as seasoned mine explorers (20 years +)and they new nothing of it!.After speaking to many cavers and mine explorers i dont think many people are researching, exploreing and pushing.
