Is this definitely Ecton? It looks far more like one of the chert mines at Bakewell with those packwalls and the flat roof.

Also, there are several other non-Ecton photos that have gone into that album, can someone move them out to the correct mines?

No problem, if you could list the photos and the mines they should be in I'll shift them across

Yes, the pictures that I looked at regardless of being captioned "Deep Ecton" are actually Clayton.

I think that there are multiple entries for the same mine as well.
My avatar is a poor likeness.

In the past I have used the Ecton Hills entry to put info on the Bonsall Trials etc on top of the Hill.

And there is a seperate entry for Ecton Deep Mine which is the entry for the engine house/shaft on the hill and the Deep Ecton level etc below.

There should be more than one mine entry on the database, but they may need a little sorting out ot help prevent further confusion.

I went in a mine once.... it was dark and scary..... full of weirdos

When do I get my soapbox, I need to rant on about some b***cks

OK, Ecton-Hill-Mixed-Mine-User-Album-Image-79425 and Ecton-Hill-Mixed-Mine-User-Album-Image-79424 need to go into the Maskhill mine archive folder (Oxlow mine doesn't look to have a separate entry in the DB, the three Oxlow entries are a different mine/rake).
Ecton-Hill-Mixed-Mine-User-Album-Image-79421 needs to go into the Moorfurlong mine archive album, Ecton-Hill-Mixed-Mine-User-Album-Image-79418 needs to go into the Muse mine archive album. Ecton-Hill-Mixed-Mine-User-Album-Image-79416 is actually the Clayton mine entrance (as Roy's correctly noted) and needs shifting accordingly, though on looking at 79415 it's definitely the main shaft in Deep Ecton before the scaff was put round it, so it can stay where it is.

This just leaves the one I originally queried, 79417. My gut feeling is that this is in Holme Bank, but I guess we need to wait for Trogladike to see the thread?

Just put up my only Maskhill shot in the album - should we edit Oxlow in the mines list? It is currently down, but as 'Rackity Mine', which is one old name for it, but it's not often used? I have a few good shots of that one I could post...

Ooops I'm at fault here too :flowers:

My underground pics in Deep Ecton are Deep Ecton but the other aerials only one, the first I think is of Deep Ecton the other aerials really need to go over to Ecton Hill. If someone could oblige.

Hopefully I'll have some more to go up and I'll be more aware but it is a good point.

Cheers, Peter.
