From memory it should be in earlier PDMHS Bulletins, by Flindall and Hayes I think? They did all the Via Gellia levels in the 1970's.

Our friend Julie has a friend at Starkholmes who was very interested in Silver Eye a few years back, ask her for details - you have her contact details.

Much appreciated the photos of the N. face of Masson from Oker road, many thanks, made me nostalgic! Sorry have not been in contact but laid up at present with arthritis and am having difficulty in typing!

Vol 4 of Jim's book is due out imminently, which covers the south side of the Via Gellia and beyond, so there may be something in that covering the history. The museum will probably do you a copy of the survey if you ask nicely, or I can do one for you?

Ric - have done you a copy of the Silver Eye survey, and since they it was same article I've done you Old Gells too. I'm doing another VG hole with ToniLuff this Friday if you fancy joining us, or meet us in the barleymow afterwards?
