I've got a nice set of Rowter Hole underground photos, but there's no listing for the mine. Anyone have any objections if I set it up? I've never done one before but I'm sure it can't be that difficult 😉

Is the mine there under another name?
It is often the case that names changed over the years.

I've just had a quick look in Trevor Ford's book and he didn't mention any name for Rowter beyond it being on a branch of Faucet Rake called Slack Hole Scrin, nothing in Jim's book on a quick scan. So, add it as Rowter Hole lead mine, you can always add an original name as an alternative later.

Having had a nosey in Jim's report on the mines of Faucet and New Rake, he suggests Rowter _may_ have been known as Foreside Rake Engine mine.

The other 'old' name I have is 'Mr. Clay's Engine' - that being Joseph Clay of Bridgehouses. He also had major shares in Rake Head mine about 1754, so it's quite possible that name is accurate. However, Rowter Hole seems to be the accepted name these days, so I'll set it up under that.

Well I've created the mine reference, but the Google Earth map now shows the location pin to be way off where I set it - the 'Bird's Eye' view used for setting location is very inaccurate, and doesn't seem to have a modern photo embedded, as you can actually see the shaft in the Google Earth view - but that wasn't available for setting-up. Is there any way the grid ref can be updated now the mine has been created so the pin can actually sit on the mine?

It's OK - I found the Edit function. Just wrestling with the damn pin location now...
