I love Simonrail's photos  always informative.

Possibly late 80's based on the Cortina IV/V, Citoen ?BX, and the Sherpa in another series photo

Yes. Can't be 1970 like the caption says as that's a Mk 4 or 5 Cortina.

Rusted and ropey, Dog eared old copy
Vintage and classic or just plain Jurassic

Continuing the automotive dump-trawling,

Orange 4-door MkII Escort, Toyota van (or one of those bloody Japanese Bedfords). Blue Cavalier I (?), red 2CV, White Transits, maroon Anglia (probably the oldest relic here), orange Transit or Bedford CF minibus, and behind those, quite possibly a blue Sierra body shell.

well, what else are Fridays for??

The picture is from an uncredited transparency so the 1970 date was a guess.

If you knowledgeable car enthusiasts say it dates from the 1980s I'm not going to argue!

Yes, I'll have it - what is it?

I've been in "Spotter's Heaven" ever since I discovered these photos....

Believe that van is a Mazda 😉 Early E2200 or similar.

3 cars up from the orange tranny van is a 2-door Mk2 Escort and its a 'Sport' model too. Could be 1300 Sport or 1600 Sport. Both rare and £20K+ today :(

Love and want the white Mk1 Transit breakdown truck. Diesel or V6...could be either but must be one or the other due to the extended snout. It's probably a V6. Beautiful old thing.

Agree...maroon Angle-box at the back and yes a blue Sierra 3-door shell. Small rear quarter light glass so its an XR4i rather than a 3-door Cossie.

On the right hand side of the building...

Blue Austin Aggro with the door open and the bonnet up; it's normal "resting" attitude even when new

Beige Mk3 Cortina estate through the trees?

Bronze Marina with black vinyl roof bottom right?

Mk1 escort van next door but one to it.

In the other photo I even spot a yellow Fiat 131 Mirafiori.

I think the excavator in the background is a Komatsu....PC220 possibly although the dipper arm ram doesn't look quite right.

I'm priapic

The Mirafiori might only be a couple of years old - they had a habit of rapidly turning into ochre in the British climate.

Lurking under the tarp in the foreground - is that a Mini??
