Actually I think this photo may be quite deceptive. The city of Panasqueira is a few hundred Ks from the actual mine. I assume (very dangerous) that this is the mine town. See another photo on the link on the mine page. Also zoom in on the Google Map. Only called it a wolphramite mine under duress. :angel:

Got to agree with Carnkie it is deceptive and probably looks worst than it actually is. There are pobably mines all over this country that are in themiddle of residential areas (The residences being built to accomodate the miners)

There are a number of houses within tuckingmill whose view from the window is the back of Croftys mill less than 50m away and that ain't a pretty building!

Assuming that all goe well at th mine the view from my back window wil be changing completely, which will end up looking directly in the back of the new mill which will only be 300m away, and the new mill looks like its going to be pretty damn big!
