Hi,

Im sure this has been asked to death but Im based in Bedford and wondered if there were any mines worth exploring in the vicinity? I have been going up to Derbyshire to go caving fairly regularly but wondered if there is anything a bit closer I could have a poke around in?

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

That should show you all the mines near you, If you new to mining take a note and be careful when visiting coal mines or any other gas related mines as they can be very dangerous. Also it is advised not to explore by your self and specially mines. And finally try getting advice on mien you want to visit as many members here have visited mines all around UK and chances are they know something you don't.
I'm also new to mining so I'm learning just like you 🙂
