Can you give me a Grid Ref for this?
The telephone number is old and give code for Carlisle as 0228 which is an awful lot of years ago.
What I can make out of the address is Nelson Street in Carlisle, the only thing I can think of in Nelson Street pre 01228 would be the Electrickery Board, most of Nelson Street is residential (there are some small industrial units and an old woollen mill type place) so cant think of anything that fits with a mine gate.
Quite curious...
