Stenlight; Fenix LD10 as a backup on the side of my helmet.

Fenix PD32 on my belt as a backup / general use. Not given the UE version a proper try-out yet, but it looks impressive.

Fenix TK35 for big chambers, photo lighting, cooking bats etc..

Backup headlamp, I've tended to carry an old Silva if it's a long trip, but otherwise a Petxl eLight.

I'm going to get my paws on a Petzl Zipka as a backup sometime; and it'll do perfectly for carrying on 'normal' walks "just in case I happen across an adit, dear"...

The Zipka, incidentally, is the one that has the head unit of a normal Petzl, but a headband that consists of a piece of string. It's a really clever idea - useless for prolonged use but nevertheless it's a usable lamp in half the size of something with a conventional head strap.
Hello again darkness, my old friend...

AYUP Mountain bike light (www.ayup-lights.com) as main - light good light mount a bit less so and battery mount pants; very light though.
Cheap '3W' as helmet spare
Another AYUP light-set in bag as extra spare.
Just got an Xtar TZ20 (181 - 320 - 820 lumen apparently) for additional backup and photo fill.
Don't look so embarrassed, it's a family trait...

I build my own.

800-ish Lumen XM-L T6 main on 3s3p 18650's, with an LED Lenser T7 as the primary backup. Many other lights (for photography) secreted into various pockets or bits of the bag.

Ecostar from Roy and an Alpkit gamma round my neck as an emergency backup.

I'm Using one of Roy's Workstar Pro's for main and a fleabay Chinese headtorch with a zoom afair (Β£12 post free from Singapore + charger and 2 18650's) for backup and extra photo lighting.
The head torch will throw a beam 400 yards on the zoom setting.
Roy's lamps are catching on down here though with at least 4 Eco Stars in our group alone.
Output v cost v weight v user friendliness ...Can't be beaten. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Black Diamond Icon is currently my main cap lamp.
http://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/black_diamond_icon_headlamp.html
Good output for the price - I'd recommend one for surface use, but am not confident that it's robust enough for regular underground use. Time will tell...
Backup is a ten quid job from the local ironmongerer.
I do need a decent torch for photography and am considering the Fenix PD32 UE (can't afford much more).

I use a Fellow's Trigon, which is pretty awesome. It's the lamp that I recommend to everyone.

It's bombproof, it's a good all day lamp, which goes up to 11 for photos.

I was cycling at night and was overtaken by a VW Passat. I had my lamp on full and the passat cast a shadow despite having his headlights on!

I was in a massive stope at Wheal Jane, turned the lamp up loud and the camera on auto thought it was daytime.

I made my own - 11,000 lumens at full whack.
And I use a small Maglite on the side as an emergency spare.

Chris.

As is the current trend I decided none of the current lights available were ideal for me and so I made my own.

πŸ”—Personal-Album-259-Image-83175[linkphoto]Personal-Album-259-Image-83175[/linkphoto][/link]

It is a full 3 candlepower and whilst many lights boast independant circuitry the emitters on my lamp are entirely independant with each emitter having it's own self contained power supply. Unfortunately there is a certain amout of "fuel loss" whilst moving about which after a long trip can leave you looking as if you have spent rather too long in the close company of a flock of pigeons.

I am working on a dive proof version but have yet to perfect this.

Otherwise I use a "run of the mill" Magnumstar or for sheer robustness a Raptor Pro.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
