An old mate happened to mention that a hole had opened up in someones garden somewhere in the general area (will get more details).
Apparently the Uni is checking it out, any members with any info?

Edit: Got back in touch with mate it's near Taliesin, next to the school. πŸ™‚

The sofa disappearing through the floor is always a constant fear of mine, nothing to do with where my house is, just the weight of my tenants

Well I'm ready, sofa's now on a 2' skip chassis, just hope there's track at the bottom.

If it is next to Taliesin school it would be part of the Pwll Roman lead mine set last worked some time around 1860. The main engine shaft opened up in 2005 in a garden just below the main road and now is about 10' at the collar I think we plumbed it at around 200' deep. According to the plan I have that there was another shaft that linked up further up the hill. Sods law i am up north wales for the weekend but I will investigate on Monday and hopefully get some pics up.

see below engine shaft collapse 2005

Thought it may have been old info as my mate often makes statements such as niner's twelve feet long. πŸ˜‰
