Ok - I believe that the payment options are either BACS or cheque. No Paypal option. I will ask about the cheque method.

Payment options include Paypal - you get this option after the "Other Activities" page

Hello Pete

Yes, it allowed me to select Paypal as a preferred payment method but then on the payment screen only gave me the account details for a giro payment.

Not a massive deal but I don't have internet banking (I know, I need to get with the times 😞 ) so it might be a while before I can get near a bank that hasn't been closed down or turned into a Costa to make payment.

I could always send a cheque of course.

No worries Pete, I'll maybe try again in a few days since I'm away over the weekend.

I opted to use PayPal but it wouldn't drop to payment is this a temporary failure?

Are any of the conference organisers reading this thread? I would like to know:

1 Is anyone picking up emails sent to the gmail contact address given on the conference website?

2. Is further information going to be added to the website soon? For instance, delegates can't be expected to book on trips for which there is no information given or to order t-shirts if sizing is not specified.

3. How is the conference going to co-exist at Parkend with the BCA AGM/party weekend?

I cant answer for the organisers however the trip information is there you have to look on the site at trip before going to the booking form.

They have run a similar event Cave Rescue and BCA party in the past which was very similar it just means the nos are viable for the event . NAHMO will run its conference . The BCA holds its AGM in a separate building and then we all join the coach or coaches or travel independently down to Clearwell for the evening function. Which I understand from several people independent of one another was a superb event which included food for veggies too

Most of the trips do indeed have information, but there is no trip description for U47 (Hopewell, but is it more than the standard tourist trip?), U51 and U52 (Bailey Level) or for the Monday stone quarry visits. And do the Westbury Brook trips (or any others) involve SRT?

Thanks for the reassurance. The Clearwell event looks good and I'm looking forward to it. 🙂

My experience of Hopewell is a standard tourist trip
