Members of the Shropshire Caving and Mining Club have links with the South & Mid-Wales Cave Rescue Team. They have recently had an exercise in Cwmystwyth IIRC.

They are also heavily involved with the Midlands Cave Rescue Organisation.

They (SCMC) would most probably know a lot about any mine in the area you've mentioned.

I have contacts with them, PM me if you want the details.

Thank you for the imput. The matter had been dealt with which is one of the reasons I deleted the OP ( wrongly assuming it would delete the thread which was no longer relevant and was not meant as an insult to anybody) The second reason was because it had been brought to my attention that this thread had been posted on a forum of which I am not even a member!! That person was making assumptions of who I might or might not be - and in my humble opinion I found offensive against the people who took the time to try and help. To those of you who offered advice - thank you. To those of you who wish to s**t stir - maybe get your facts right 😉
