There seems to be a mix up with this mine. It is already listed under Old Middlehope Fluorite Mine. Which one is the correct one?

We thought it was Old Middlehope Flourite Mine when we went in a couple of years ago and I put some pictures up there.
The 1st series 6 inch map, 1861, has it as Middlehope Old mine, though the flourite would have come later.
Dunham has it as Middlehope (old) and Fairburn as Middlehope old mine.
Maybe everyone is wrong and we should go with the first published name?

Yes this is a mix up the upper adit is the one we go in but ive noticed the photo's of middlehope fluorite mine are definately of the upper adit. This being the only adit you can get in in this area. We also thought this is Middlehope Old Mine. I do beleive when the mine was working it was Fluorite they were mining, perhaps this is the reason for re naming the same mine.
