I will be up this weekend for the week, it would be fantastic to meet you.

Yes, we all stay at High Plains and there is a sheet on the wall listing trip details and call out time. Wales, well the farmers know where i am and can see my car, likewise Cwmystwyth we have an 'eye' there, so off roaders 'you are being watched'.
Talybont, well all the local dog walkers know me and my car. I would rather be injured down a mine and someone knows where I am than injured out on fells in the dark and bad weather. Its all relative, everything is.

Caplecleugh shaft is now Caplecleugh Hill due to falls, and years ago I did get get to the FH and dropped a sump to water and bad air and had to do a hanging changeover in it.

I will be doing the regular trip over the holiday, my little world of peace.
There is a Japanese word "Shibumi" which is difficult to translate but nearest I can get is a sort of combination of peace and universal understanding, well thats my take on it.

The nearest I can get to it is when I am alone underground.

Thanks for the info Roy, normally, these days on public holidays, we tend to stay in Scotland, and this weekend will be no exception.
Naturally glad to hear that you are at least letting someone know where you are underground.
A couple of years ago, in the company of a couple of old friends of yours, Heb & Colonel Mustard, one of our group managed to break a couple of bones in his foot, when a timber collapsed!
It took us a long time to get him out! He was off work for a couple of months.
That was in Rampgill, but equally well could have been anywhere underground.
