A new event has been added to the Events page.

Event name: Nenthead Weekend

Date and time: 22/04/2017 / 10:00

Details: Weekend exploring some of the Nenthead mines, guided (with varying degrees of expertise!) by Mr Mike, christwigg and myself. Open to requests/suggestion and will tailor the program to the abilities and interests of those available.

One week later than originally billed due to various family commitments over Easter Weekend.

We'll probably look at booking the Assay Office bunkhouse and attending the Miners Arms for something to eat and drink on the Saturday night, so will probably go for a slightly less strenuous programme on the Sunday! ::)

Anyone with any ideas for trips fire away...

Unfortunately we currently seem to have three guides and zero participants for this.

Mole is up there over Easter through the probably be space in the bunkhouse to make more feasible. PM for contact details

I'm around and will be staying at the Assay House then. Happy to muck in but not really in need of a led trip! 😉

Away with family for that weekend or I might have been able to attend.

Also really fancied the Sir Francis trip on 17th June; just checked, I've a meeting in Newcastle that simply can't be rearranged or weaselled-out-of.

On the plus side, I've managed to pretty much ring-fence Thursdays for me-me-me-time so I cant really grumble :)

I'm free on the Saturday but scheduled to work on Sunday. Ive been in Smallcleugh and Rampgill quite a lot but would like to go a bit further.

I will be up at High Plains all the week and around at the weekend if anyone fancies a natter or whatever.

I have arranged with christwigg for CMHS to be at Nenthead next Saturday; there might be half-a-dozen of us wanting to visit Brownley Hill at least.
