OK decision, we meet at the carpark in Creosor. Yes viewer, bring your harness, we may well need them.

Thanks Owt, that would be good.

Vanoord - we could do with some sort of plan of attack. Where are in you intending going in, where do you think we'll come out, so how much rope, rigging gear etc.

Aim is to have a look in the top Fron Boeth adit and try to abseil down through the mine and pop out through the bottom adit.

If Owt has a rope, I have one and Mr.RL has one, that should be enough to abseil all three floors if the opportunity is there?

I certainly recall exploring the bottom floor, so that should be accessible to people on foot, similarly the top adit - albeit both may be a bit damp.

Presumably the middle adits were accessible in 1980, but appear to have fallen in by now - I'll try and remember to pack the mattock just in case!

If there's time, there should be plenty of Pant Mawr adits to have a look at as well. The forecast isn't bad for Sunday, either πŸ˜‰

I'd say in at 15 and out at 18 would be feasible, I guess a vertical drop of about 30m looking at the map, we should have a quick explore of 18 first to make sure we can get out!
I make this three drops, I guess we may have to leave ropes in situ and retrieve them later once we know it's a through trip.

I would also like to try in at 9 and out at 10 especially as Mr Turbo has put all that effort into draining these two.

Anyone know where this picture is from? Im guessing on 9.

I'll have a look for where the works break through to the surface (9 and 1) on Saturday.

Mark 2 syphon is now finished, no quicker but easier to manage so I'll start emptying 18.

All sounds good. The only thing I'm completely out of is rope protectors - does anybody have any? Not to leave behind, just to prevent death...

I can get a load of 2 inch lay flat hose, similar to fire hose, not sure how much though until Saturday.

I shall be about 20 mins late as i have to take my daughter to work. Don't wait as I will follow you up to Fron Boeth.
Last year I went to Lidl for some tea bags and came out with a pair of waders that were on offer. So I will bring them along for their maiden voyage in the mine.
