The page has gone wider... intending to make the most of a 1024x768 screen (the current most popular resolution) and waste less space.

A black square has appeared top left, this will be filled with something in due course.

First up a new site-wide navigation system will be implemented to make it easier to find all the pages in the site - many people have commented that the left hand side main menu is getting a bit cumbersome...

Excuse me if this sounds stupid but does this mean that panoramic photos can be accommodated without causing mayhem? 🙂

I guess a bit more of them will fit in yes! It's not a huge jump, it's added about 100px more width. And it's a first stage in an overall revamp of the layout of a number of key sections to make them more user friendly...

It reduces the line wrap on the latest forum topics on the forum home page - and also makes it more laptop-friendly (1440x900) 🙂

Thanks chaps. Hopefully I'll upload the new navigation system tonight.

If anybody is having any issues with weirdness in the page header (like strange sized text wrapping onto multiple lines) then just try refreshing the page a few times. That usually causes your computer to download the latest files needed for the new layout.

Good? Bad? I'm not sure what you mean there I'm afraid. I've added 100 pixels so it's not going to make a massive difference on very wide photos, sorry.

I didn't mean to be obscure Simon but the wider picture of New Venture album on the home page has disrupted the whole format of the page with me. Is it then a problem with my screen set up?

I have swapped the album image for one of the normal ones - the panorama is still in the album (nice panorama btw Lee).

I really wouldn't worry about it too much! I'll add it to the bug fix list so they display correctly in full size view but get chopped off in thubnail format - easy enough to fix 🙂
