I didn't think to look for something that looked like a piece of torn paper.
If Mr Gates, Mr Car Designer, Mr Household appliance designer etc gets to read this, there is a language that is fairly universal, its called "English" and its much easier to understand than all the squares triangles wiggly lines and meaningless shapes you can think of.

For a 40" monitor, you appear to have a very low resolution... I'm looking at buying a 39" that runs at 3840x2160, and 2560x1440 isn't uncommon for screens in the lower 30's.

Is it capable of upping the resolution a bit?

That said, if you are running any kind of *nix, you probably know how to, and it probably can't... so I'll just shut up now... ;)
