just out of curiosity...for years ive been taking the hard crosscut then hendersons knee killer to get into smallcleugh because i thought the quick way was blocked..but someone told me recently the great crosscut is passable again is this right or is it still dodgy ground,im going testing out my new bq lamp on sunday so i might wander up there as i only have a few dreadfull polaroids of that area from the early 80s. 😞
if its a hole explore it...

He forgot to add "in liquid mud" ;)
Hetherington's is easier.
The bit as far as Luke Hall's sump is ok though, then cut through to Wheel Flat. Its quicker than going via Hard Crosscut.
