Handle-less is a left....you could probably use it as a right, but it would be a bit odd. The handled are handed and are mirror images. The left handle less one is a bit like the right handled one, from a catch point of view.

I have both left-handed and right-handed Basic Ascenders. Generally use the RH though.
Handed ascenders are a proper pain in my opinion....
