Fantastic, If calcite is now semi-precious then we're all very very rich.

Theres actually a really useful Firefox addon that stops you having to read the tripe on the Daily Mail and Daily Express websites.

Instead automatically redirecting you to www.teaandkittens.co.uk

Two things re Goldite.

1. SRL has yet to get off his arse & add it to the list of minerals in the database. :glare:
2. Aditnow comes up as the third hit on Google for Goldite & the first one dealing with it as a mineral. We are therefore officially the experts when it comes to this very precious jewel. 😉

Pyrite was often called "fools gold".
I think that nowadays we maybe have a new kind of fool around.

Flowstone "outcropping"?
Too soft to be used as a gemstone. Perhaps we should start marketing Derbyshire fluorite as square diamondite. The nearest it comes to gold is the colour brown, which resembles what rhymes with goldite (oldsh***)

Sounds like a good opportunity to reintroduce the market to Cornish Diamonds (rock crystal to you and me).
