That is sad.....I am going down in a couple of weeks to compile footage of a number of sites before they deteriorate further and Dorothea was on my list.
I'll just have to be clever with my camera angles....although I did want to get some good shots of that lovely arch which I think will be hard now there's a fence across it.
While i'm on the subject, does anyone know if Pen Yr Orsedd is accessible or still a working site?
Wander round at will, what's the worst that can happen.
The arch is still accessible, you'll either have to squeeze under one of the wooden fences, or approach it from the main track, pass under the double arch / buttress (if you know what I mean there) and then it's accessible unfenced, as is the track past the pyramids and the engine house.
The metal fencing is largely around the buildings, and the wooden fences look like they are there to keep vehicles out.
