Im a tad confused by which mines are mentioned in this post from Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue:

Or rather: Caerhun or Cwm Eigiau slate mines. Closer to the crag!

Thanks for that i was trying to work out which ones they mean depending on access for vehicles etc.

I think the old tramway to Cwm Eigiau slate mine is good enough for a Landrover.

Depends who's driving it.
If you *really* want to get it there, put Jagman in it and tell him it cannot be done. It might not be forecourt-fresh afterwards though...
