John Hardy talk about the recovery/removal of a tub from Sloate Hole on 26th July 1976
Not sure if its the one in the photo.

Hi Chris,
I think the recovery of the tubs was done by John Hardy and his sons(?) as the photos in the Museum image archive mention them and it appears to have been done in 1976. This visit is some years earlier as younger brother was less hirsuite by then.

He says its his brother in 'Occasional paper on the mines of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale;
Theres was a tub labelled as from "Nut Hole" in the Yorkshire Dales mining museum, very close, not sure if the same one.

As you can see above I'd misspelt Sloate Hole so didn't find the right archive album now the photo is reallocated, I've left the LandRover pic where it was as it's nearer to Faggergill anyway.
