Just to let you know, there's been a biggish fall on Smallcleugh Horse level just by Luke Hall's sump, where Old Flat Crosscut turns off.
Quite a lot of the remaining walls in that area are looking a bit iffy so walk lightly. The worst offender is right by the rails across the sump (cracks are opening up quite a lot) so be warned that the crossing might not be safe, or even there.
We will be putting some timber in to try and keep the level open (help always gratefull accepted), assuming it doesn't go before next weekend, but no guarantees!
Don't look so embarrassed, it's a family trait...

This section has been "shedding pieces" for a number of years, and the height of the level from the flat cross cut to the rails, over "the collapsed soles", has definitely become reduced, but has it detiorated to a point where it is of imminent collapse?
I am not sure if the main horse level beyond the flat cross cut junction is even still passable?
I have probably not 'done this section ' for about 20 years, and then it necssicitated two flat out crawls.

It's shedding big stuff at the moment...
The crawls are passable, was through a couple of months ago, a bit tight on the penultimate one mind.
