Attempted Flemings to Taylors/Deep Level on Saturday and was very quickly thwarted.

After the first short pitch, followed by the short crawl left, you went under a big pile of stacked deads on the approach to the second pitch in narrow stope (shown here in a Mr Mike photo)

Going under now you are presented with a wall of debris and no way to continue on. It may be diggable, but with the fragile state of the area in general and no idea how much was blocking the way we thought it better just to leave it well alone and go elsewhere.

It might be possible to go over the top instead, but that would be another job to get up there.

I've only done that trip twice, but always thought that the area was well dodgy, when we went under those deads... What a bummer though, trekking all the way up and finding that. What did you do in the end?

Just had a general poke around in Taylors, Cobblers, Deep, Hospital.

Sat in the river in the sunshine and went to the pub :)
Hardly a disaster really.

Looks even worse than the Chamber of Horrors!

Interested of course, but after digging tonight I doubt the wife would be in agreement.

Absolutely - don't push your luck! My wife refuses point blank to do any digging at all ::)
