I see there is much to see here.... where's best to look??

Very little, worth a glance in if you are passing and a nice place for a BBQ but not worth a special trip up there

I agree, not worth a special trip from Cumbria! But, if you are in the area, I have to disagree. Whilst it might not compare with, say, Oakeley, Cwmorthin, or the unmentionable mine, there is still a fair bit there. Although I suppose it depends what you are looking for.

Must say I like Miles' pic of the Drystone Arched level... well.. I'm meant to be going to wrysgan, and Rhosydd some time quite soon - and might go then, even though it's on the other side of the valley, and up the hill about 1km...

It seems that most folks visit Cwt y Bugail and look at the north Twll thinking thats all there is. There are a hell of a lot more in the southern workings, 4 floors and about (origionally)15 chambers. SRT would be useful to enter floor 1 from the surface where there are 3 chambers breaking to daylight. I think its possible to scramble down the South Twll, although i havn't!
