found this stone with two rings on it pretty near what is thought to be a loading platform,
a local person said there used to be a tram rails running to it ,
i cannot picture it at all in my head and would love more details and information on it , i have taken pictures of the stone
it is oval in shape about 5ft by 4 foot at a guess with a ring in each end,
i did a google on it and by luck found a hikers blog on it with picture, so this is the link
http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM3XKK_Zoar_Ring_Rock_Near_Mary_Tavy

can any one tell me more about it please or where i can find more about it 😞

See if you can find it on old-maps couk . If you can get the 1880 25" it'll pretty much show you everything, although some of Wheal Friendship was sunk later IIRC.

it was a very usefull link
i looked though all the maps and the loading ramp is not seen till the 1952 map and then shows less detail after that ,
not sure if i under stand the legend as think i mixing up road as tram ways ? no sigh on the stone ring on it though .,

but seems like the data is telling me its only about 60 years old
