Hi Guys,
On 'YouTube' there is a short film clip, diving in this mine. I have never heard of F58, and as Derbyshire is my local area, am intrigued, as to location.
Cheers,
Paul.

The passages look very much like a chert mine, so is it the flooded section of Holme Bank?

Not seen the video but the most popular site for practising dive techniques in Derbyshire is Holme Bank Chert Mine near Bakewell.

Right guys first of all this is NOT Holme Bank and it is Not in Derbyshire, I know Cristian and this is in Essex a small mine and you get into it believe it or not at the side of a football pitch and it also runs under the M23 ? I think,

I think it was posted as Derbyshire to throw people of the scent a bit like linley Caverns as you are trespassing and the owner gets well p***ed off with people.

Hope this has helped !

Can't be Essex, as the only mining in the county was for chalk and sand, all carried out above the water-table, so nothing left to be flooded.

This is Surrey hearthstone stuff, for sure-which also fits with the proximity to M23 mentioned. Fascinating to see anyway, and perfect way to get around, horizontally, rather than vertically-most of the stuff seems to have been dug by dwarves = exploring+painful spines+swearing!
