Lengthy discussion thread on ukcaving for last couple of weeks with much deduction as to which vein it is on and a link to an underground survey made a few years ago.

It's very interesting indeed, although difficult to know at present whether it would ever go anywhere further, given it was surveyed by Dave Nixon, who's not known for missing a good lead. Barmaster's records for that section of Faucet or Horsestones Rake are also a bit sketchy and confusing, as Maskhill Mine to the east had nineteen meers allocated, but the present site only occupies one meer at most, as it's all vertical.

So it's difficult to know exactly what mine title it's part of, but it seems there were quite a few registrations between there and P8 further west, where the vein terminates.

Local mine historians are checking their scrapbooks 😉

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
