Morning all.

Following on from my “Strangest thing” question, I’d like to know the funniest thing to happen to you underground?

For me, it was probably watching someone who didn’t know Rampgill very well, carry a load of scaff into Rampgill, rather than Hangingshaw.
I didn’t have it in me to shout him and tell him his mistake.
He reappeared where he was supposed to be... Eventally.

Leif.

The funniest thing I’ve seen underground is watching a certain individual rapidly disappearing on the wrong side of a collapsing dig in Smallcleugh. Or it could be watching the same individual rapidly disappearing on the wrong side of a collapsing dig in Rampgill.:lol::lol:

Pete Jackson losing his balance and falling over very slowly in deep ochre - real time slow motion!
Don't look so embarrassed, it's a family trait...

Waist deep wading along a very long and grotty adit on the Cornish North Coast.
Reaching a crossroads, the guy in front tells me that there's a shaft in the centre and to skirt round it. I passed the message back to the guy behind me, "OK" he said. When I reached the other side I heard a commotion behind me, and turned around in time to see this guy's head disappearing beneath the water.
On surfacing he spluttered "I'll remember that on the way back"!
No prizes for guessing what happened 😉

Friend of mine trying to avoid the deep water in Hangingshaw by bridging the arching. Failed and face planted into the gloop.

Any time anyone has tried the ochre bath in GGHL.
That’s funny...
I recall your swimming lesson in it, Nick...

I did something similar in Cligga. There's a small chamber below floor level with a tiny window that looks out on the level at floor level.
I wriggled down into the chamber and waited for my mate to come looking for me.
He's a big bloke but screamed like a girl when I reached out from the dark and grabbed his ankle.
