This is obviously some sort of charge adapter to fit an Oldham rack, but what was it used to charge??? It was made for Olham by Bulgin so the build quality is such you could drop an anvil on it with no ill effects. I've got several and can't think what the blazes to do with them. Far too good to chuck out!!!! I've converted one with croc clips to test charge Oldham batteries without lids or headsets.

Looks like it's a charger for the Oldham TT 'Searchlight' hand lamp - (2 T batteries).
I will nip down to the shed and take some pics of the lamp & post them shortly.

I suspect it is an adaptor for the Oldham handlamps, thats the type where the headset clipped to a handle ontop of the battery on a short cable.

Hi,
I worked down four collieries and only ever saw these lamps being used on the front of locos below ground, the lead is for charging them up using the caplamp charging rack,
