The man who organises Hidden Earth was at the recent NAMHO Conference and BCA meeting in the Forest of Dean.

I am sure that the organiser, Les Williams will endevour to get Hidden Earth 2019 hosted somewhere up north. I think cavers and mine explorers from the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales/North Pennines will not be happy about having to travel down south every time. I will be attending myself, I did not go last year due to "personal reasons".

Maybe them that don't like it would care to organise a venue for Les for next year?

Strikes me we were dangerously close to not getting an event this year. Read Les's piece in UKC.

Indeed Droid.

Those that feel bad about coming south so many times need to step up to the plate and help sort it out. I fully sympathise with those that are left to sort things out by themselves, yet get moaned at by people who don't like the outcome.

I moaned on two counts the traffic around Bristol is always bad and it was planned for the North. I'm joining friends on a Canal Boat in Yorkshire which will be Monday afternoon now not sunday

I have made several enquiries about The venues on offer around me and have done some investigation, they are not suitable too small or too residential. Lilleshall was a possibility but physical changes have taken place since a NAHMO conference a few years. More importantly now run by a company more interested in Weddings and no longer subsidising sports I have tried

I wasn't thinking of you Mike! Sorry if you thought I was.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
