I'll start another thread, but would anyone be interested in a photo trip somewhere in North Wales sometime around Christmas / New Year?

Sounds a plan πŸ™‚ Would need to be somewhere with a certain number of specific things to take photos of I guess?

Indeed, somewhere with artefacts was the thought - and about there, my thoughts ground to a standstill!

It might be interesting to get our hands on some sort of flash trigger set and have a play with that - I'm quite amazed by how much clarify it gives compared to LED lighting.

There's something called electron bleed I think which causes fuzziness with longer exposures, but it's a bit techy and over my head. Certainly with flash you also seem to get shadows and better dark/light contrast which you don't with uniform light painting.

Mmm, Parc?
I should be well enough to act as 'guide' but the problem is that I doubt that I will have my roadway through to 'pretty passage'. The best ochre formations in the UK.

I have to prioritise my time on Alltycrib (Talybont), if we loose the ladder shaft it would be a disaster.

For what its worth, the worst area has been retimbered but the ladders are a death trap, plus some other work yet to do. I have a new top ladder now made up and ready to deploy this weekend, all being well.

Originally the shaft was timbered in 4 X 2 carcassing horizontally placed while sinking, now being replaced by 6 inch round larch at the correct angle.

EDIT

Parc 'Pretty Passage', and a younger RF

Before I went poorly this year I refurbished all of the MAIN ladders in Parc, the eastern and western winzes plus the one up to Llanrwst Mine.

A trip in Parc would be awesome Roy πŸ™‚ :flowers:

But possibly deserves to be done as a trip in its own right rather than a dedicated photo trip?

I thought about this Simon.
If a photo trip we could just do western Cwffty via Parc and leave the eastern section until another time, when I have my roadway in?

There are 2 very old friends who have been promised this one, members of this site, and trying to seperate Martin C from his camera would be impossible!

Assuming that they will be free at that time.

I will be doing others into Parc
