Just felt something that felt like a small earthquake. It occurred at 14.32 in Calstock, East Cornwall.

Did anyone else feel anything?

UK hit by biggest earthquake for a decade

A 4.4 magnitude tremor hits South Wales - but effects are felt as far away as Liverpool, Birmingham and Cornwall.

Big quake by UK standards. I live in Morriston in Swansea Valley and the quake sounded like an explosion deep in the ground which caused my book case to visibly wobble! Cat slept on mind!??

Places will possibly be affected by this event, especially Cwmystwyth and possibly Silica Mines at Glynneath, so take extra care when exploring Welsh mines. The last big quake to hit southern Wales in the late 80s, brought down a very large part of bedding at the portal of St. David’s Sump in Daren Cilau!

I live close to Cwmstwyth but didn't notice anything. Underground could be different though.

I was underground in Lefel Fawr from 12.00 until 18.00 and heard what I thought was a distant fall, I suppose it could have been. I did hear something, and the time sounds about right.

We were in Moel Fferna and had just got out the tree shaft when the earthquake happened. We didn't feel anything but I had the mrs ringing me, panicked by the social media reports of an earthquake in Wales.

Hopefully not too much has been disturbed underground, rare as they are it certainly reminds you of the dangers of what we enjoy doing!
