Hi All
I am looking at starting a new project which will involve restoring old photographs of mines and mine related images.
Of course the image will always remain the property of the original owner, and after they are complete I would return them to the owners, but I would like to keep a copy for myself.
My plan is to as best as I can remove old scratch marks, stains, washed out mono chrome or colours, sharpen, clarify and generally make them look a lot better.
If anyone wants to help me out I need either original negatives, or prints, if those don't exist then a digital copy would be OK but they are harder to work with as a lot of the original data is already removed due to compression. I already have all the scanning equipment for both negatives and prints. I can scan negatives from 110 up to about 50 mm square, and prints up to A3 size at very high resolutions of 1200 dpi. if a digital image is provided then the minimum image size needs to be at least 1980 x 1080 pixels, anything smaller than this would just not look good when restored.
Hope you can help, thanks in advance.
