Hi Stephen

Welcome to the site!

To upload photos, first thing you need to do is find the mine you want to upload to. There's a few ways of doing this, but start with the 'Find a Mine' section on the left hand main menu. You can search by:

-Major Mining Region (possibly not your best option as I think you're SW and there's not much listed in SW regions yet)

- By Mineral Type - click and then select the type of mine you're looking for

- By OS Landranger - click and then select the Landranger map sheet containing the mine(s) you want to upload to

- By UK Region - click and then select the rough geographic area

Or do a mine search, or a mine name search. To do a mine name search look further down the left hadn menu, type the name in and click go.

Once you've found the mine you'll see the mine home page which you're probably familiar with, like this
http://www.aditnow.co.uk/mines/Cwmorthin-Slate-Mine/

Each mine contains at least two albums; the main ones being the User Album (for modern day photos) and the Archive Album (for older photos, as a rule of thumb we've settled on anything over about 20 years)

Here's a sample User Album http://www.aditnow.co.uk/album/crowndale-copper-mine-Copper-Mine-User-Album/

At the top left of that page, you'll see a block called 'Quick Upload Links', to upload a photo simply click the 'Upload a Photograph' link and follow the instructions to complete the form. If you've got lots to upload in one go then you can use the 'Batch Photo Upload' link.

All photos need to be in JPEG format but this is the standard format photos come off most digital cameras so shouldn't be a problem.

If you're certain you can't find the mine that you want to upload photos to then please feel free to add a mine, you'll fnd the link to do that off the left hand main menu under 'Find a Mine' again.

Look forward to seeing your photos  Please feel free to reply here if you have any problems.
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
