Thanks for all the feedback and ideas folks. And sorry for delayed respose on my part :(
Customer got himself sorted elsewhere, was able to hire some, but he did buy some chargers from me.
We are intrigued Simon - why would anybody want twelve Oldhams in our brave new Li ion powered, LED lit world?
Ah π TV production company doing an episode set in a coal mine in the 60s, so wanted lead acid and incandescent!
As Roy correctly said the Oldham lead acid batteries are now obsolete, they went out of production in 2012.
There is a 'baby' LiIon battery called the L9. Unlike the L16 this is designed to be charged on legacy lead acid chargers.
The G series incandescent are being discontinued this year. No more new bulb Oldhams.
Big changes in the Oldham range therefore. And it probably slipped under most peoples' radar but the 3M Halo range (was Optimac Halo) has been bought by Oldham and is now known as Halo Oldham. This adds 5 lamps to the Oldham range - although we're only pushing the Mini and H2 in the UK.
There is also a very funky compact Oldham on its way, the DLi.
Chinese domestic lamps... After seeing the resuts of some testimg on CE chargers of the "we write CE on it for you" type I completely agree with rufenig's post!
LiFePO4 is used in the H3 and H4, and the Mini. Main advantage is the increased charge / discharge cycle.
But of course all these lamps have very limited appeak outside of the mining, industrial and professional outdoor markets.
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by
