Jealous is not the word for this. How much is a course and the gear? If you don't mind me asking or pm me if you would prefer

Something I have wanted to do for a long time. The really only true way to see untouched mining and artefacts!

It really is quite a long road but first of all you have to learn to dive then go from there if you want to PM me for a chat by all means, one of my dive buddies is a instructor

Quite a lot of kit needed, then a decent amount of experience.

Then some big spherical objects before you go into something like a mine. And I suspect that the experience bit is pretty important when you get to that stage: much respect to Paul for diving in such a difficult environment.

I tried diving many years ago and tried to drown.

Odd thing is, I'm a confident swimmer and unfussed by being in water. Turned out that the bottom of a Scottish loch wasn't quite the same...

Yep indeed, funny though with this game ( diving ) like a lit of other pastimes once you are kitted up it isn't that expensive if you are diving on normal air as apposed to nitrox, trimix or heliox it is very cheap for a fill, but when you get into the realms of trimix OUCH ! it is hellishly expensive.

But Vanoord really has emphasized the experience bit and he is right.

Planning a trip to South Wales to dive Dinas and to see you guys down there, so any kit carrying volunteers would be rewarded with beer !!!

Anyone out there got any contacts at Alderley Edge Mines ???
