Must be an early one, no strip lights, we stripped the conveyor out of the incline when the mine shut.

Hi again, not sure about the winder, the conveyor I refered to in my other post was "rescued" so far as I remember it was tarted up on surface and flogged to another mine, abroad maybe.
At that time at Geevor there was no money, a bloke from up country was involved, I think he had been involved in stripping out the coal mines after the Maggy and Co. decree, he might have owned the mine for a short while or had some controlling interest in it, they were dark days, he gave the instruction to pull out the conveyor so far as I remember, the actuall stripping out operation was overseen by our Chief Engineer Bob Orchard, I don't think Bob or anyone was to happy about it.
