Apparently they could not film in Manod - unlike the days of The Five Doctors / Edge of Darkness.

Been injured while at work and are not to blame?

That was all sounding quite good until I read the bit about it having Trevor Eve in. I don't know why but I've never been able to watch anything he's in!!

I think the exterior shots were filmed at Manod. If you look at clip 2, about 14 seconds in, you can see the trackbed of the Rhiwbach tramway (Manod branch) heading away from the quarry on it's ledge.

There was a feature about it on Front Row on Radio 4 tonight - available on I-Player no doubt. Funny bit about the author/adapter complaining about the need to use native unco-operative sheep/chickens rather than being allowed to use professional versions.

I know some filming was done at Manod and on the Mignaint by the cafe.
The accent of the actors are of Southern Welsh which is like having a Dudley accent in Newcastle.
But it should be worth seing all the same.

The gravel floor rather gave it away!

Some footage appeared to be around Blaenau, interspersed with somewhere with more trees?

And blokey should have sorted out his London missus, as she called him 'Quintin' when he introduced himself as 'Quentin' in 'Manod' 😉
