I have producer a DVD called Historical Disasters about a mining disaster in Bolton in 1910. I was just wondering if there was a way of getting is infomation to your members. This is an amazing DVD the i have work on for the last two years. I hoping to keep the memory of the mines alive.

There's a great site on the Pretoria Disaster here:

http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Westhoughton/Pretoria/index.html

Which has some good underground plans etc. on it.

(I used to live only a mile or so to the north of there, the other side of Hulton Park.)

The map is the territory - especially in chain scale.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
