is there anybody who can give me an answer on the following question is it worth converting my 5 led to 14 led as i need more light but cant afford a decent light at moment

As Mr Mike says, it depends what sort of light you currently have, and whether you need more light from your headtorch, or a good 'back-up' or extra illumination torch. I've got the 14 LED petzl, and carry a Q4 e-LED diving torch as well (v.good light, good throw). I'd also recommend the P7 LED lenser (that I found at Cwmorthin 😉 ) as it seems to have incredible throw.

at moment im using the duo as main light but got very dim light off 5 leds i was thinking of putting a 14 led unit in to give better light but would like to know if it would be worth doing

Lots of people will slag the Petzl Duo off, but i used my 14 LED one as a main lamp for 3 years with no problem. Its now a back up lamp which sits in my kit box. Only problem i will admit to is the lens will scratch very easily.

ok i will give it a go im also using a tesco 4 watt torch which i find very good for the price
