I've often wondered (especially after a bottle of Highland Park) what everyones favourite photo for the year would be and why. This of course doesn't necessarily depend on the quality. It can of course be your own or independant. I'm swithering at the moment.
The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

LAP's selection is very good and includes a favourite of mine by Redlion. I'd second the overall standard. But this to me is my favourite from Vanoord.

Obviously couldn't disagree with any of those selected by LAP and by coincidence I sent a very a very similar photo to your selection as an eCard yesterday. But the photo that says more than a thousand words to me is one from the LoC collection. (I certainly take no credit for it). It's from the Hine child labour collection.

That is indeed a nice photo Carnkey, got an old photograph of some miners (a print) at Delgloth, or something similar, couldn't read writing.. looks like a Cornish name, I'm sure a lot of you could confirm that.

I'd probably have to go with Redlion's flooded photo from Longrake - it's so atmospheric.

However, I'll also take this opportunity to say how much I (and I'm sure everyone else) appreciate all of the photos put up, whether they be surface, underground, archive, the lot.

Madness takes its toll, please carry exact change
