Picked up a leaflet for this and noticed the following.
Wednesday 1 June
ARKENGARTHDALE LEAD MINING WALK
E15 11.00am - 4.00pm Meet at Langthwaite Pay & Display car park (on right if coming from Reeth)
Lead mining and other extractive industries, and their impact on the dale, will be explored during this moderate/strenuous walk of about 5 miles. With some 700 feet of ascent, we gain good views of Arkengarthdale. Walking at a steady pace with regular informative stops, we will finish in ample time for the 5.00pm concert.
Tuesday 7 June - Festival Field Day
THE LAST MINERS - WALK: Lead Mines Into Chert Quarries
E38 2.30pm - 5.00pm Meet at Langthwaite Pay & Display car park (on right if coming from Reeth)
Alan Mills and Stephen Eastmead lead this medium-hard walk.

Friday 10 June
LEAD MINING WALK
E48 11.00am - 4.00pm Meet at western side of bridge in centre of Gunnerside
This new lead mining walk will visit the extensive remains of this once large and important mining area. The walk is about 5 miles, with some rough terrain underfoot at times, 800 feet of climbing, and a steep downhill finish on tarmac. We should finish in good time for the 5.00 concert in Arkengarthdale.

http://www.swaledale-festival.org.uk/ Doesn't sound like there will be any underground involved there, however I'm probably going to be organising an Aditnow Trip to Swaledale at some point in the summer, although it will be free and neck deep water is very likely if anyone fancies it ?
