I see no problem with this kind of post as long as it stays on topic. I just wish I had the qualifications to apply 😞

Why does this phone number relate to jobs in the nuclear industry?

Suspicious lot you are!

One would assume that this company does not have a mining-specific division and that the nuclear side is running the application as it's the nearest in character 🙂

I am slightly disappointed that there is not yet some action happening on the nuclear waste storage issue, although I don't know if the North Wales area is suitable geologically.

But I am very pleased that it seems to be Parys that is being reactivated. I hope they find lots of exploitable ore, of various metals, not just copper. Less imports, more local jobs, is always a desirable thing.

It should leave some nice holes for future generations of Aditnow members to explore, eventually.

And hopefully this generation of aditnow explorers will get to visit the working mine in a year or two's time

Let me guess. Nuclear waste?

The short list made by Nirex for nuclear waste sites in the the late 1980s was revealed in 2005. Some may still be on it.

Adjacent to Bradwell nuclear power station in Essex

Ministry of Defence land on Potton Island, 8 km from Southend on Sea. Essex

Under the North Sea, accessed from the port at Redcar, Yorkshire

Under the sea between the Inner Hebrides and Northern Ireland, accessed from the port at Hunterston in North Ayrshire

Killingholme, South Humberside

Ministry of Defence training area, Stanford, Norfolk

Adjacent to Dounreay nuclear plant in Caithness

Two sites near the Sellafield nuclear plant in Cumbria

Altnabreac in Caithness 18 km south of Dounreay

Fuday, small, uninhabited island north of Barra in the Western Isles

Sandray, small, uninhabited island south of Barra in the Western Isles

The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

Fuday and Sandray were mentioned as the front runners just last year when the disposal question came to the fore again.

Hi Everyone and thank you for the interest in the Mine Managers position advertised. So far I have had a number of people contact me for information and that has produced three telephone interviews with my client. Should anyone have an interest be it as a Mine Manager or with general mine experience please contact me on 0151 666 8923 for further details.

My client has also indicated that they will be looking for a Project Manager and Project Engineer for the same North Wales mine.
Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
