I have just had an update email from the NAMHO chair and all is going well.

The returned cheques should have been made out to "NAMHO" and not anything else, so I am advised.

There are no problems or issues, all is fine and running in a timely manner.

I have indeed had my cheque returned, it was waiting for me when I got home this evening.

I made mine out to NAMHO 2018, not sure why but it must have seemed like the right thing to do at the time

No matter, I shall send off another one 🙂

Probably because NAMHO 2018 was the account name implied on the conference website. The Hades contact address is a fairly recent addition to the website and certainly wasn't there when booking opened.

Crikey, I'd forgotten about this and found the letter this evening in my usual mountain of unresolved correspondence. Just sent a new cheque off tonight, sorry chaps 😞

Anybody got any idea what time the Friday trips start? Is it 2pm?

And presumably the conference registration won't be open beforehand, so one should register after the trip?

Chris.

Start time is 1430 - take a look at your booking on the Conference website - all options are displayed.

Thanks for the reminder chaps, will head straight for my first trip rather than the conference venue in that case

No they are not.
Personal Itinerary gives blank page. I will go with the 2.30 and hope I get lucky.

Other issues are relating trips to the booking, hopefully it will be in the delegate pack.

There maybe some confusion but at the start of plans for the conference I was told there wouldn't space for me to have a bookstand at this years conference. In fairness the organisers have since changed that stance , however, the Garden Room where most things take place is not the largest of spaces and a stand would be severely restricted, particularly if the weather is bad. I have therefore taken the decision not to do it this year - however if anyone wants a book and pre order I will bring it along

As mentioned by Roy, the personal itinerary page is blank.

Can someone shed light on Registration Time and Trip timings please?

Cheers

The trip timings are on the 'trips' section of the website, the schedule appears if you hover over the drop down arrow without pressing it. :)

On my way down to NAMHO right now. I will be stopping at the Tunnel House Inn near Cirencester tonight before going over to the Forest of Dean to check in tomorrow. See you all there!

Found it! Mine isn't on so presumably its same time as others.
(EDIT Its under separate headings, found it)

Self guided walks look interesting and I will be doing similar next year, but a bit unethically actually giving map references. Sorry to be unsporting.

This is useful:

Also when you are there check out the huge cast iron angle bobs at New Fancy. I find them fascinating.

Has the opening time for Registration been established yet?

There doesn't seem to be an e-mail contact on the website for queries and I thought the 2.30pm being quoted is for some of the trips.

Noted the Monument trip on Friday doesn't kick off until 4pm.
Does that mean people on this trip miss the fish and chip supper?

I have heard, but cannot confirm, that the Friday trips to Monument and Morse's Level actually start at 14:30, not 16:00.

Some Friday trips are 1600 and set at 3 hours!
Welcome is at 1900, so must get the RS tuned up.

I will turn up early-ish and see what the crack is.

Thing is, to make it work, we all have to try a bit. My sarcastic remarks being in jest. Lots to see in the forest, suggest try my link above, make a few notes, and bring an OS map.

We will all have lots to talk about and it will be a good get together.
