Indeed a strange place, what a strange man Williamson must have been! What a team the Friends of the Tunnels - to have done all that digging to reveal the tunnels again and with more to come...

Just about everything about the place appeals to me. It's so quirky and mysterious, I don't suppose everything will ever be completely revealed. But let's hope the powers that be make it possible for excavations to continue for many more years, and for the entire site to be protected.
